The Austrian Federal Administrative Court ruled that a computer with an internet connection does not constitute a radio broadcast receiver unless it has a TV or radio card or a DVB-T module. Therefore, broadcasting fees cannot be charged. The GIS broadcasting fees collector had ordered a Viennese person to pay the fees because of his broadband internet connection as well as his laptop with speakers.
