EBU welcomes publication of consultation on Audiovisual Media Services Directive

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) welcomes the publication of the consultation on the Audiovisual Media Services Directive and how to make Europe’s audiovisual media landscape fit for purpose in the digital age. The consultation “on Directive 2010/13/EU on Audiovisual media services (AVMSD) - A media framework for the 21th century” invites stakeholders to submit feedback on a range of issues such as whether to and how to improve the current framework, the role of the different market players as well as the best ways to protect viewers’ interests or promoting access to information.
